The event celebrates the achievement of people in our community who have transformed their lives through fitness. Turbo Stars in Lincoln and Rogers City
BAC Turbo Boot Camp is the perfect jumpstart. Ten Days of Turbo. Ten Days of Clean Eating = Amazing Results.
Seventeen participants in the Rogers City Turbo Boot Camp celebrated success with an average of 4.7lbs and 4.6 inches lost. Big winners in Rogers City were: Annette Vogelheim, Sheri Darling, Tracy Paull, and Jennifer Warwick who all lost more than 6 lbs in just 10 days!
Twelve participants in Lincoln sailed to success with an average of 3.6 lbs and 2.8 inches. Upon completion, the Turbo Stars said they were amazed at how great they felt, and the noticeable changes in their waistline. Turbo works. Get on board!

Alcona Community Schools Corporate Challenge
Eleven employees and spouses of Alcona Community Schools completed a six-week fitness and nutrition overhaul, sponsored by Bay Athletic Club and hosted at Alcona High School. The group followed a fitness program that included group workouts at Alcona High School gym, individual workouts in the new community fitness room at Alcona High School and at-home DVDs. They also committed to a nutritional plan and daily fitness homework. Their hard work paid off! The group averaged a loss of 9.4 lbs and 8.3 inches per person!
“We are thrilled to have worked with Alcona Community Schools,” said Trina Gray, owner of Bay Athletic Club. “School administrators showed tremendous leadership helping get this program off the ground. We look forward to more offerings in the future.”
Next up in Alcona County? BAC Boot Camp kicks off on Tuesday, November 4th at 6:30 p.m. and ends on December 11th. The group meets Tues/Thurs evenings at 6:30 p.m. Contact BAC today at 356.5600 or Tracie.
BAC Farewell to Brendan and Chris
BAC members and staff gathered at the Fletcher Street Brewery to bid farewell to two men of BAC.
- Staff “Youper” Brendan Currie is moving home to Ishpeming to be closer to family as he and his wife prepare to welcome baby number three into their lives! Hundreds of members have been fortunate to have worked with Brendan. He is easy going, caring and talented. Brendan has on board since the day BAC opened and has been a team player ever since. Best of luck to him as he starts his new position as a personal trainer at a new medically based fitness center in Ishpeming. Go Pack.
- Chris Lanciano is skating off to pursue his dream of playing pro hockey. He is joining the Chi-Town Shooters in Dyer, Indiana. The team is a member of the All American Hockey Association, Single A Pro. Chris is dedicated, hard-working, and incredibly talented. We are fortunate that he shared his talents with us in Alpena. We are proud of him for pursuing his dream and wish him all the best in Pro Hockey. He has the drive and the talent!
