ON COVER: BAC 1ST Run Club of Year
And they're off!  BAC kicked off the 1/2 marathon run club on Saturday, February 2nd with an outdoor run in the cold and snow. Fifteen BAC members and staff are training for the Bay Shore marathon and 1/2 marathon in Traverse City on May 24, 2008.  Led by Tracie Werblow, Run Club will be training for 16 weeks with weekly group runs and team meetings, team building activities, and social activities to help members reach their personal fitness and competitive goals in a fun and social setting.  Run Club is open to members and non-members of all levels.

BAC Fitness Camp in Rogers City
BAC teamed up with ARMC to offer the first-ever Fitness Camp in Rogers City to promote improved fitness, weight loss and fun! The camp, led by Head Trainer Casey Stutzman, meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the ARMC Rehab Facility in Rogers City. The group of 14 has been put to the challenge and continues to rise to the occasion. “It’s already life-changing,” said one participant, “I’ve wanted to get back into shape and this has been just the jump-start I needed!” The six-week camp finishes at the end of February.

BAC Media Challenge Underway
The Alpena News staff took a huge leap toward better health in February by signing on to the area’s first-ever Media Challenge. The six-week fitness/nutrition overhaul is lead by four of BAC’s personal trainers and is intended to help participants improve their fitness, lose weight and inches and have fun with coworkers. The participant who loses the most inches will win a membership at BAC. All 17 participants will finish with the sweet taste of success and receive fun giveaways from the club.
