Media Challenge Finishes with a BANGMedia Challenge - Bay Athletic Club
Bay Athletic Club completed the first-ever Media Challenge with off the chart results. Twelve amazing employees and family members of The Alpena News completed the six-week fitness and nutrition overhaul. They averaged a staggering loss of 11 lbs and 9 inches each, as well as untouchable improvements in fitness, overall health and team unity.

Media Challenge - Bay Athletic Club

Alpena News employees Michelle Pilarski and Tim Gapske took top honors by winning the inches and weight loss competition. Michelle lost 14 pounds and 13 inches and Tim lost 20 pounds and 12 inches.

Led by four BAC certified trainers and instructors, the participants were guided through a comprehensive six-week fitness program to improve their strength and cardiovascular endurance while shedding weight and inches.

Participants: Stacy Anderson, Tim Gapske, Angie Hall, Anthony Jasso, Sue Latuszek, Shirley Lawrence, Nancy Olsen, Ivan Olsen, Michelle Pilarski, Jessica Reinholz, Kaylin Schultz, Tammy Sobeck and Kim Soik.

BAC Kids Get Moving
On Friday and Saturday mornings at BAC, members are accustomed to the patter of little feet running, jumping and playing games in BAC’s new group exercise studio. The Kids Creative Movement and Kid Kickboxing classes have grown tremendously in popularity. Parents who are seeking a fun activity for their toddler, preschooler or grade-schooler are encouraged to check out a BAC kid’s class. Cost is always just $2.00 because BAC believes nothing is more important than instilling activity as a way of life in our youth! Coming soon…Tween Turbo Kick for junior high students. Media Challenge - Bay Athletic ClubIndoor Triathlon Easter Weekend
The second BAC Sports event of 2008 takes place Saturday, March 22nd with a much-anticipated Indoor Triathlon. Eleven teams of four will compete in a 20-minute swim, bike and run. The 2nd annual event kicks off at 9 a.m. and will conclude withan award ceremony at 2 p.m. Spectators are welcome!
