Brendan Currie - Exercise PhysiologistSome people create with words or with music or with a brush and paints. I like to make something beautiful when I run. I like to make people stop and say, 'I've never seen anyone run like that before.' It's more than just a race, it's a style. It's doing something better than anyone else. It's being creative.

I am the staff exercise physiologist and am in charge of designing and evaluating fitness programs for our members. Basically, I help people feel comfortable in a health club setting and help them achieve their goals. Truly at the end of the day, I feel accomplished in all that I shared with members and, in return, the reward I receive from seeing them achieve.
My certifications include a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Lake Superior State University, a BLS and ACLA from the American Heart Association.
I’ve always been active in sports. I participated in football, swimming, and track & field in high school and was a member of the Lake Superior State University Varsity Track Team. I got involved in the health and fitness when I sustained an injury in high school football. I worked closely with an Athletic Trainer from Marquette and became interested in the profession. I chose Exercise Science as my field of study and found a program that fit my needs academically and athletically at LSSU.
The thing I enjoy the most here at BAC is seeing the diversity of the members. There are young and old, experienced and novices all coming to improve on their own personal wellbeing and goals. In addition to designing programs for members, I teach HEAT, Just Abs and Cycling classes. I personal train many wonderful clients and help lead seasonal BAC Run Clubs and ongoing Boot Camps.
On staff, I am known as the easygoing staff “Yooper” and proud Packers Fan. If I am not at the club, I am usually running, hunting, fishing, reading or spending time with my wife Kristy and our two kids, Keera and Braylon.
