Sarah Oskey-Community Relations Coordinator
“You may forget what someone said.  You may forget what someone did.  But you never forget how someone made you feel.” –Kristen Rath

At Bay Athletic Club, we are very passionate about giving back to the community.  My job as the Community Relations Coordinator is to help organize events, develop new programs and keep an eye out for anything we can get involved in.  I also produce “60 Second Inspirations”, which features a community member that has transformed their life through fitness, as well as edit and produce our newsletter THE BAY.

I attended Western Michigan University where I double majored in Journalism and Broadcasting/Cable Production, with a minor in Women’s Studies.

I first moved to the Alpena area in May of 2007 for a job at WBKB as a reporter/anchor.  At the end of 2008 I moved to North Carolina for a brief period to continue my broadcasting career but I quickly realized how amazing the community was that I left behind.  Within three weeks I decided to give up broadcasting and move back to the place I had fallen in love with.

I’ve been blessed to be given an opportunity to join the BAC team.  While working at WBKB, I always enjoyed coming to the club for a great workout, but it was the positive energy I craved.  Now I get to be a part of that, whether it’s through community outreach, working the front desk, Boot Camps or teaching group exercise classes.

In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with loved ones, anything outside, trying out new recipes, learning random trivia, playing cribbage and beating my boyfriend at Scrabble.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions
