I am the staff physical therapist who loves working in the fitness industry. I joined the BAC team in August 2006 after receiving a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in Health Fitness in Preventative and Rehabilitative Programs. I received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Central Michigan University in May 2007. As an assistant manager at BAC, I help promote a positive energy throughout the club, oversee many special events and help design fitness programs for members. As a physical therapist, I work with clients one-on-one and in small groups to help people overcome physical challenges in order to live life to the fullest.
I was inspired to become a physical therapist when I herniated disc in my lower back in high school. I received physical therapy for many weeks, saw the results, and was hooked. My goal for each rehab patient or fitness client is to teach them to take charge of their own heath. I teach that fitness is the key to a healthy lifestyle by helping the mind, body and soul get through the challenges of life.
My energetic personality fits my favorite class right now -- HEAT (High Energy Athletic Training). I am also a regular Boot Camp instructor, lead physical therapy clinics and provide one-on-one workouts and stretching for clients. I am developing a prenatal fitness program for BAC that I hope to launch the spring.
I love BAC because of the atmosphere I work in. BAC believes that fitness is for EveryBODY, and I find this to be very true.
